Permit Required Confined Space Entry and Rescue Training
Hygieneering recently performed Permit Required Confined Space Entry and Rescue training for maintenance technicians at a manufacturer of phenolic resins and thermoset molding materials. Our Experienced OSHA Instructors will come to your site to train your affected employees. The goal of our training is to ensure your affected employees acquire the understanding, knowledge, and skills that are necessary to safely perform assigned duties as members of the Permit Required Confined Space Entry and Rescue team. Our training covers permit vs. non-permit required confined spaces, what hazards are encountered in a confined space, the hazardous conditions that would prevent entry, atmospheric air testing techniques, how to respond to an emergency, what personal protective equipment (PPE) may need to be worn, what equipment will be needed, permit requirements, responsibilities/roles of team members and how to recognize symptoms of overexposure of air contaminants. Our training also includes procedures and techniques for entry rescue and the importance of having a rescue plan in place. Proper training can prevent employee injuries and deaths by covering OSHA’s confined space requirements along with ANSI and NFPA guidelines. For more information about our confined space and other services, please visit our Service Brochures page.
